In this short scene, the two young women are introduced to each other. The first is the new princess of the kingdom, and the second is the old one. The old one has been missing for a long time, and now he has found her. He asks her why she has been so rude to him, and she tells him that she is just a temporary princess. He tells her that he knows everything about her, and that he has known her since they were children. He says that he wants her to get off his good side, or he'll chop her hands off. The two girls argue about whether or not she should get off her good side. The older girl says that she doesn't want to, but the younger girl says she'll have to get her clothes changed. She tells the older girl to come to her room and not to tell her that she's a guest from the other side of the country. She's not jealous, she says, but she'd better not tell the other girl right now.
