On the very first day of their magic training camp, Tommo and Huck arrive at the beach. Tommo shows Huck a simple trick he can use to make a cut in his hand. He wraps a rubber band around his thumb and stretches it so that when he releases his grip on his chopsticks, the chopsticks will rise in his hands. Huck is amazed at the size of the cut. He compares the cut to the sawing of a woman in half. He says there are accounts dating back thousands of years of people doing the same thing. Huck wonders why he and Tommo haven't been able to get rid of the woman. He wonders if she has a cute face. Huck says he's not letting her escape with some guy.
