It's winter, and it's cold outside. The narrator and his friend, saki, are playing in the snow outside. They've just sent each other a text to see if they can go inside a giant bubble. They need three ingredients: water laundry starch, dish washing detergent, and a large loop of wire to wrap around the bubble. Ooh, that's a great idea. They can also make a big loop of yarn and wrap it around the giant bubble with a piece of string. Aww, that sounds like a lot of work, but the narrator is psyched. He's also psyched because he wants to help his friend saki go to college, and his mom isn't as smart as she thought she would be. He says he'd rather learn on the job than learn in a classroom. He also wants to be a part of saki's future, so he's excited to help her go off to college and help her parents. He wants to learn how to cook for saki and her friend, so they can get married. He adds that he'll make a bubble out of salt, which will melt the snow when it gets really cold, and then he can use it to hold the bubble in place.
