The narrator returns to the cafeteria to find that the food is empty. He feels that he has just seen something that he did not intend to see. He asks the waiter if he could bend the spoons together to make the curry taste better. The waiter says that he could do that with a normal spoon, but that he would have to make a special one. The narrator tells the waiter to wait for the curry to get better so that he can head back to his own table. He tells the man that he will forgive him if he confesses that he is trying to cover something up. The man says that it was hypnosis, but the narrator says that was not the case. He wants to eat the man's food, but he can only eat one bite at a time.
