The narrator tells us that he's enrolled in a new school in the spring. He's joined the school's "Going Home Club" , which is a group of students who go home after school to play games. One of the students, a transfer student named Masashi, has a crush on the narrator's sister, who's also a member of the club. The two of them have a lot in common: they're both students from the same high school, and they both like to play the "going home" game. Masashi's friend, the transfer student, is also in the club, and the two have a great time. The transfer student tells the narrator that he heard some stories about the "ghost room" in the second-floor storage room. The girl in the story screams when she opens the door to the room, and she's scared when she hears the door creak. The narrator doesn't believe the girl's story, and he leaves the room to avoid any danger. He asks Masashi if he heard any crazy things happen in the room. He says he'd never heard of anything like that, and that he was asked to handle the room as well by the chemistry club. He tells Masashi to give him a hand.
