The narrator wakes up and tells us that he's woken up from his nap. He's not sure what's going on, but he knows it's because he was hypnotized by his mom. He tells us the secret to hypnosis is to avoid commands. For example, instead of telling her to be a cat, he should tell her that she's a cat. That way, the subject won't be confused by the fact that she is a cat and will think that the trick is to trick them into thinking that they're in the hot tub. The narrator then tells us how he tried to hypnotize his mom, but she wouldn't let him do it because she was too scared to do it herself. Now, he tells us, he can hypnotize her in front of a live audience and she'll pull it off. He also tells us he'll put on a "supernatural magician" to perform the trick, which will make her nervous but she will be able to pull off the trick anyway.
