In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the "muffin waft boy." He is a young man who has recently moved to New York City. He has a secret stash of envelopes that he has hidden away in his room. He wants to know other people's secrets, so he decides to share one of his secret envelopes with the audience. He tells them that the secret in the envelope is that there are small holes in the envelopes, which he will have to open and guess as the secret is revealed. He then tells the audience that his secret is that he and saki have been left out of each other's company for a long time. He asks the audience to guess the meaning of the words "hard to say normally" in the letter he has written to saki. The audience guesses that the letter is a love letter to her, and the audience has to guess that it is a "heavy love letter" to masashi.
