In this chapter, the young narrator is introduced to a new character, a young man named Aco Momota. Aco and his friend are going to be living together, and Aco is going to tell the young man a story until he falls asleep. The young man is very excited to hear the story, but he is afraid that the ghost story will not work. He tells Aco that if he does naughty things, ghosts will not show up. He wants to give the story a try, but Aco tells him to relax, count sheep, and try again.
