The chapter opens with a flashback to years ago, when the Governess and her Governess's daughter, Hiyori, were young children. The Governess, now a governess, is looking for her daughter, who has moved to a new school and is enjoying her new life. She asks her friend, Anri, to join her on the search for the bears, and Anri responds by saying that she is glad to be with her, and that she tries to help her daughter as much as she can. When she hears that Anri has turned down her offer to marry her, she realizes that she has done a great service to her daughter and wishes that she had not turned him down. She wonders if it is unfair to say such nice things after turning him down, but Anri assures her that it is not. She tells her that the sixth bear is still out there, and the two of them continue their search.
