In this chapter, we learn that the two of them are going to be living together for the rest of their lives. The narrator is excited to meet his new roommate, but he's also worried about what he'll find when he meets him. He's worried that he won't be able to make up his mind about whether or not to live with him, and he wonders why he hasn't been able to figure out a way to make his roommate happy. He wonders if he should ask his friend to join him in a study group so that they can all discuss their homework together. The two men agree to meet, and the narrator gets a call from his friend.
