About This Chapter
In this short scene, the young narrator tells us that he and his friends are going to be living happily ever after. He tells his friends to go talk to Hiroshi and see if they can get along. He also tells them that he has a pen and wants to use it to write letters to his friends. He asks them if they will stop flirting with each other. They all agree that they should stop. The young narrator asks if he can use his pen to write a letter to his friend. He then asks if Hiroshi's friend is his "boy friend" , and they both agree that he is. They also agree that Hiroshi has a "boy" friend, and that he can still take his friend from him. Hiroshi is angry that his friend is flirting with them, and he goes to get a "wet towel" . The narrator says that he found it annoying to be flirting with his friends and that it was harder for him to take on a girl like Hiroshi than it was for her.
