The chapter opens with Hiroshi's reaction to the news that he's about to turn ten years old. He's a little nervous about his own aging, and he asks Hiroshi to help him find a present for his birthday. Hiroshi tells him that he can make his own "fragrance" , which sounds like a great idea. He also tells Hiroshi that the smell of his former lover's cologne reminds him of the day he spent with him, and that he hopes that Hiroshi likes his new perfume. As Hiroshi and Hiroshi prepare to leave, Hiroshi asks if they have a meeting the next day, but Hiroshi says they don't. He then leaves to pick Hiroshi up.
