Hiyori and Soushi are going to be living together, and the narrator tells us that it's been a while since we've seen them together. We learn that they're both getting used to life in the big city, and that things are getting weird between them. The narrator asks if she's getting along with Soushi, and she says that things have gotten weird. She's not fighting, she says, but things are looking weird in the eye. She wonders why they should try to live together, since she thinks she can do things better than he can. She says that she can be a wolf sometimes, but she can't be like Soushi all the time. She asks if they should stay for dinner, and he says that he doesn't think he'll be able to, since he's out all night. He's also worried about her, because he thinks she'll get lonely with him all night, and so he'd rather be alone with her than with him.
