This is the first time we see the two of them together. The narrator explains that he and his childhood friend, soushi, have just graduated from high school and are now living together in the city. He tells us that he's a "high clink" from the country and that it's dangerous for him to live by himself. He finally convinced her to live his life on his own, and they're living happily ever after.
