About This Chapter
In this short scene, the princess laments the fact that she has been manipulated by her brother-in-law, the king of Egypt. He has sold her the bracelet that he gave her as a gift from the god of love, and she wishes that he had killed her sister, ivy, who was a priestess. The princess curses him, saying that he is trying to kill her at the wedding of the king and his queen. He tells her that he has already informed the people of Egypt of the truth about the murder of his sister, and that it was a "hittite spy" who killed her. He says that his sister is now working as a priestess at a temple, and the entire family is grateful to the king for his magnanimous treatment of her.
