About This Chapter
The Governess tells the Governess that she is going to marry Mina. She tells her not to worry, because she will not do anything to keep her from doing what she wants to do. She also tells her that it is already a month since she promised that she would be able to return home after the party. She says that she does not want to be with the King, who has the foresight to rid Egypt of corrupt officials. He is also an excellent prince, she says. She adds that the King is discussing the problems of farmers when they do not have enough food. He will spend some money to build a better system for the slaves. She then tells him that there are people in Egypt who can help him to get back to his country. He says that he will take his leave of the King if she allows him to do so. She asks him what he plans to do since he knows so much about the celebration. He replies that he wants to meet the King. He wants her to become his concubine.
