In this short scene, the two lovers discuss the possibility of leaving each other. The lovers decide that they must stay in Egypt, and they agree to do so when they reach Memphis. They decide to perform a ceremony in which they will stand next to each other, and then they will be carved into statues and placed next to their children. They are so happy that they are afraid to leave, but they decide to stay because they want to make Cleopatra the queen of Egypt 3,000 years later.
