About This Chapter
Jarry asks why he came to Egypt. He says that he wants to win quickly. He tells Jarry that he saw a special girl riding a horse the first time they met, and that she showed him her courage and decisiveness. Jarry tells him that he should let her pursue the Egyptian troops because he doesn't want them to get too far away from him. He also says that if he had her by his side, he could smile so incessantly that he would be able to laugh so incessantly. He asks Jarry not to make him lose face, and says that his first gift to Jarry will be the life of the foolish man and the soldiers.
