About This Chapter
When the two armies return to the battlefield, they are able to discuss the situation with their concubine. She tells them that the soldiers of Sadat will choose their "master" and that they will follow him for life. She asks why the king is so angry, and he responds that he has already made up his mind. He asks her why she is so upset, and she tells him that she has only met the hittite prisoner a few times, and that he was taken from the prison by the king's guards and suspended from a cliff on the western bank of the Nile River so that he would die of thirst. She then asks him if he wants to go back to Egypt. He replies that he does not want to be in a tight relationship with anyone.
