Donovan and the Doctor discuss the situation. They're still trapped in the sub, and they don't have a way to get to the top of the mountain. They can't even get a good look at what's going on around them, because they're surrounded by "leaks" and "mammoths" . Donovan says he's sure the Doctor has a "death wish" , but he doesn't know if it's real or just a "treachery" of flirting with death. The Doctor says he can see a fault line that's collapsed next to the sub. He can also see that the Leviathan is buried under the sub's radio antennae. He says he only knows of one man who's capable of trying to do something crazy like this, and that man is the rescue team.
