Nemo is dead, and the monster is back on the prowl. The monster's name is "mun" , which means "the prehistoric ancestor" . Nemo's last words to the monster are, "what the hell is going on?" . He tells the monster that he saw "a glimmer of humanity" in the creature's eyes at the moment the monster was about to kill itself. Nemo says that he's sure that his little girl, lou, would have liked the story of Nemo and his adventures to fall asleep "like that . . She has trouble sleeping these days, she says, because she has "lots of nightmares ." Nemo tells him that lou loves him a great deal, and that she's already killed herself on an African expedition with , feiersinger. He says that , like Martin, he was "tracking the bigfoot," and that he doesn't want lou to be put in danger again. He also says that she is sick, and he can bring her back to England. Nemo tells London that he has to go to the police, because lou is dying. He's going to pay a lawyer to find out what happened.
