About This Chapter
The innkeeper tells the guests that God has asked him to let them know that he is proud of them and their food. He tells them that he has asked them to rid themselves of the "filta of man," which means that they no longer have the right to worship God. He asks them to gather up all the men they have left and bring him his "shot gun," which he will not let the priests take away. The innkeeper says that they should run while they got the chance. He says that the priests are killing every one. The priest tells them to stay close and not to commit such atrocities. He reminds them that they are called "michael's sword" because they follow God's voice. He warns them that if they do wrong, they will be killed. They should be afraid because God does not bear a sword for nothing. He does not have a right to see, hear, or decide what they do. They are told that they may leave with their family if they wish. They say that they will not be welcome in the town anymore.
