In this chapter, the voice of the god tells the story of how he came into being and how he has flourished. He tells the audience that he is now questioning everything about the universe and wonders if everything is God's. The voice tells him that he must leave the feast that is to be held for him today and go to his final resting place. He asks if he has said that he would sacrifice himself in order to oppose the power of the devil. He says that if he were to do so, he would gain the power commensurate with the combined fury of both his souls.
