In this chapter, the narrator tells his father that the rapture is upon us. He tells him to prepare for the coming of the Lord, just like he did in his dream. He also tells him that the church has been hiding behind their old ways, just as the Lord sent his son 18 centuries before. The narrator says that he does not know what is in the documents, but he does know that they were made up to destroy the parish. He says that the record must have come from his made up, and that the existence of the church is at stake. He adds that he will not allow the church to lose face.
