In this scene, we learn that the nun has been executed for her part in the murder of the monasterium's candle maker. The nun's body is taken away, and her arms are severed and her heart is ripped out. Everyone in the building is terrified, and the nun pleads with them to be quiet. She tells them that she has had a dream in which God told her to look for her self, and that he has just begun to punish her for her sins.
