In this chapter, the protagonist, who is the protagonist of the previous chapter, delivers a soliloquy in which he laments the fact that the protagonist has been fired from his job because he does not obey the orders of his superior. The protagonist, however, is not a weak-willed person, and he is determined to do his job. He tells his superior that he has just started a new job and that his mother's orders are more important to him than his own.
