The next morning, the doctor arrives at the hospital and tells the young couple that they have been admitted because of the fevers. The doctor asks the couple if they would like to go for a walk, and the couple says they would. The young couple asks the doctor if he can accompany them on a date, but the doctor says he can't, as he has a fever. The couple asks if the fever has caused the doctor's brain damage, and he says it has. The two men argue about whether or not they should accompany each other on the date, and when the doctor refuses, the two men start arguing again. The younger man says he knows he's lying, but he doesn't like the idea of being picked on by the older man. The older man tells the younger man that he used to go to the hospital to check on the young man because he feared that the old man and chaewoo would still be playing the "joke" of having sex with each other. The elder man says it's unimportant at this point, because he started the customs that still follow today.
