In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he saw a chaewoo in the pavilion, but that he didn't get a good look at the two women. They're back together, and the narrator wants to spend some more time with her. He has a wishlist of things he wants to do before he dies, and he's worried that if he decides to follow her from the past, he'll forget all about it. He's also worried that she'll still be a woman in the future, even though she's changed so much in the past. He tells her to enjoy her evening, wipe her face with a cloth, and enjoy her story.
