Ben Ruan tells the gang that if they break the vines they'll fall and die. He's in charge of the army, so he's going to shoot them down. Ben's not sure how to catch a doll, but he'll figure out a way to do it. He grabs the wrong person, and the wrong place to land. The wrong person is in the car, and she's running away from the fight. She can't get out of it, and there's fire. They've got the best weapons in the world, but they don't expect the birds to be killing people. They should just go down and kill the birds again. Ben says that the weather's behaving strangely today, so it looks like the birds are closer than it actually is. Ben is so sick of the birds that he wants to kill them.
