About This Chapter
The section chief tells the company president that he must punch the man if he doesn't look like he's ready to leave. The company president thanks him for his compliment and says that he'll report back to him the next day. The chief tells him that he can leave now and everyone can leave. He says that the company needs a good image and that K's promotion will help them do that. He tells the chief that he is proud of himself and that his daughter is getting more and more presumptuous. He asks the chief why he is siding with the company instead of him, and the chief says that now that he has grown up, he can't stand it any longer. He wants to find the orphans and develop a new drug for them within three days, but the company won't let him do it. He'll have to go to the company's president and tell him what he did, and they can punish him whatever they want.
