He also says that he'll have to learn how to use magic in order to get the job, and that's just not going to happen. The bully is all, "dude, I can't do this anymore. I'm going to have to go back to school and get a job that will pay me a living wage." Translation: I've got to get back to work ASAP, or else I'll be fired. The kid's got a lot on his mind right now. He wants to be promoted to the top of the school, and he wants his new job to pay the bills. But he also wants to make sure that his new boss, Sue, is happy about his promotion.
