Lockwood tries to convince himself that he can use his magic to win the battle, but Lockwood reminds him that it's not his magic that's at issue, but his physical strength. He says that he'll use his other magic to fight the attackers, and that'll be enough. Lockwood says that if he can't do anything with his magic, then he won't use it at all. He asks why he didn't ask him to help him that day, and he says that the purpose of the mission was to get him out of the building. He's glad that he was able to do that, because it means that he will be able to send his friends to him as well.
