Back at the gate, the two girls discuss the situation. It looks like they're going to have to fight each other, since the other's group is stronger than the first's. They're not going to be able to capture iliana, though, because the girls are locked in a fight with each other. The girls decide to go after the punk, but she's already run away, so they don't have time to capture her. The two girls run off together, and batori asks if he thinks he'd lose her if he caught her. He's sure he would, if he were to catch her, but he can't, because he's using his magic on a girl who's just run away. He tells her to stay out of the way, and she says she'll be fine. He says he'll kill her if she tries to sneak away. She's shocked that he would do that, and he tells her that he thought she died during the assignment as well. He wants to kill her for thinking that she'd be alive.
