About This Chapter
In this chapter, we meet the "new cast" of the Disney Channel's animated comedy, "The Princess and the Frog." The princess's mother, Ono, is waiting for her son, Bucko, to return from a trip to Tohoku, Japan. Ono apologizes to his mother for being late, but she refuses to let him go. He tells her that he's trying to "exorcise" all the "supernatural bs" from his show, so that she can "keep those jokes to herself" . He asks Ono if they can start playing the show on the radio, and Ono says yes. He then asks what Ono's mom thinks of his brother, and ono tells him that she doesn't seem to care about him, since he "is not blood related" to the family. He also tells Ono that his mom is like a "man cave" , and that she just "doesn't care" about him. He says that Bucko is "a total wimp" and that he can't "fuck off" for his mom's sake, since "girls sure are soft." Ono then tells him about a doll that he made for a friend, and says that he modeled it after his sister's doll, which he says was "hand made." He also says that his family's life has changed since they went to Japan five years ago, and he wonders why they couldn't just take the train back to the States. He
