The next morning, Mina and Mi-yo go for a walk. Mina tells Mi-Yo that she's afraid for her lover's life, but she doesn't know what to do about it. She's not sure if she should poison him or kill him. She wants to know why she didn't tell him sooner. She also wants to make sure that Mi-Yomi is not swayed by Mina's lies. She tells him that she used to be a neighbor to an oil company exec's family, but the family asked her to help them move into their new home, and she was unable to raise the money on her own. Now, she tells him, she'd never have been able to raise such a large sum of money if it weren't for the "get rich quick schemes" in town. He also tells her that he's the "enemy of all women" because he always comes up with " lofty lies" on the spot. He's a good liar, he tells her, and he'll never get a job because of it.
