This is a locked chapterChapter 48: "I WON'T KNOW UNLESS I HURT YOU."
About This Chapter
The scene opens with a description of the woman standing before Masahiko. She is the "mayweather of Sapporo" , a job in which she performs "unbeaten bare-knuckle boxing" . The narrator tells us that the woman is none other than Tachibana San, and that she has just broken up with her fiance. He tells her that he loves her, but that they only see each other once a week. He asks her if she has saved any money, and she tells him that she does not. He wonders if she stoops low enough to take advantage of her family's kindness, but she says that she is not stooping low enough. She tells the narrator that she knows the woman from the drama that was being watched on the news. She says that the girl was watching the drama when they broke up, and the narrator says that he knows her because she was on the show. He says that it is only three days since the break-up and that he is just going through "a rough patch" in his life right now. He feels sorry for her when he sees her like that. She should have told him where she was, he says. She kept blowing up her phone drunk while he was waiting for him to call. She told him to come over, or she would kill him. She said that she learned to read fortunes from a divination bar, and told him that if he did not come over she would murder him. He wants to know where he is, but he does not know how much work he has to give to her, and he says that while he has been a great help, he has not yet figured out how to give her enough money to live on. He adds that he has told her not to worry
