This chapter opens with a conversation between Tachibana and Nanba. Nanba is angry that she has been made to feel like a "lonely rager" by her husband, who has punched her in the face. She wants to know why he has made her feel this way. She tells him that she likes him, and that she wants him to remember this when he goes home that night. He tells her that his show is getting compared to a comedy show and that he wants it to be more like a warm towel. He asks if he can have a writer to help him with his show, and she tells him to treat her to "fugu . . will ya" . He says that he has no comeback for his show because he was told to leave the script rough. She says that she joined the radio because he is there, and he drags her off somewhere. The movie is about to start soon. She asks him if he needs anything from her, and when he says he does, she says he let a "frumpy old the narrator writer steal her under his nose" , and now she wont ride his motorcycle anymore. He wants to ask her if she has any idea where he can find a place to gather material for his new show. She replies that he can ask the tourist office at the municipal office.
