Back at the library, the students are talking about the patrol group. One of the students, Ellie, runs to the back of the mountain to find the thief of the mana. Ellie tells the other students that she chased the thief all the way back to the library because she's helping the girl find her missing magic item. The other students are confused, but Ellie explains that it's a coincidence that the thief happened to be there at the same time that the magic item was stolen. She also explains that the only other person who entered the back mountain was a first grader named Miss Hill. Miss Hill is surprised that no one else was there except for her. She asks the students why they don't let her join the patrol team instead of leaving. The students agree that it would be a good idea to let a student like Miss Hill join the team, but they argue that this would put her in danger.
