The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Dr. Bledsoe tells the audience that the rapists are still on the loose. He tells them that he's surprised that they're still out there, and that he doesn't want to be a part of the gang. He says that he just wants to cooperate with the police. The flashback then shifts to the present day, where the students are taking their final exams. The students from class G are on their way to take the final exam, and the students in class D are on the run. The teacher is worried that the students will fail the test, and she asks the students to go check out what's happening.
