In this chapter, the students discuss the reasons why dawn left school. They discuss the fact that shelley has joined the disciplinary department as his own. The students wonder if shelley is protecting dawn, and they wonder if it is improper to not tell him about it. They also wonder if the patrol team has been called to the school to hunt for magic beasts. They wonder if there is an emergency at the school, and shelley says that there is no such thing as an emergency. The patrol team is not occupied at the moment, so the school decides to organize a hunting drill to hunt magical beasts.
