In the hot spring, Huck finds himself in the company of a family of three: the boss, his wife , and his son. Huck asks the boss if he is awake, and the boss tells him that he is. Huck tells the boss that he has come to take the punishment of the family for their sins, and that they can then leave the hot springs. Huck is amazed at how he has managed to get into the mirror. He wonders how he got there, and wonders if he will be able to return to the bookstore. He asks if there is a Japanese living next door, and if they are worried about him. The boss tells Huck that one of his legs is still in the spring, and Huck asks if he can wash it for him.
