About This Chapter
The servant asks if he's feeling sad because of the monkey. The servant replies that he is sure that the baby isn't innocent. He's not human, he says, and he doesn't want any demon to harm his people. He tells the servant that since he inherited the master's identification brochure, his seal has been removed. The master had told him that if his heir was a good man, then the man should be killed. He asks the servant if he thinks it's his name under the seemingly corrected part of the brochure, and the servant answers that it is not his name, but that of eight of the other previous heirs. Why did they die, the servant asks, and why did they get killed?
