The next morning, the Ghost prepares the meal and asks the Doctor how he died. The Doctor tells him that he died from a disease and that his family had no money to pay for his treatment. His daughter asked him if he wanted to continue his treatment, and the Doctor blinked and went home, leaving his daughter with tears in her eyes. She told him that if he did not feel like it, she would give him all she had to keep him alive, and she would go back home and die. After the meal, the Doctor tells the Ghost that it is time to go on the road. The Ghost tells the Doctor that they are all "wandering ghosts" and that the rain has made them wet all over their bodies. He says that he will send the Kpi to the night-bookshelves, since they are "all wandering ghosts" , and that he cannot leave them to the Doctor. He also says that the criminals he took charge of in the car accident are dead already, and he is sure that the Doctor had already fulfilled his duty as a police officer. He asks the Ghost to help him find out the reason for his death. He was a spy and knows that someone sold him out, or that he would have been able to take the criminals back alive. He wants an anonymous letter, and asks that the letter be sent to him in the city of huang town.
