The narrator tells Hikari that he doesn't regret making the choice he did in high school. He's still reeling from it, though. Hikari tells him that he's only a month away from the entrance exams, and that she's wasting her time studying with him. He tells her that he hasn't left his desk since he came back, but that he has a request from his part-time job. He asks if she has anything else she'd like to do, and she tells him it's a waste of time to waste his time. She tells him not to lose sight of his responsibilities as a student, and to get his act together before he leaves. She also tells him to be careful not to get into a "rebel lious phase" , because that's when you're most likely to fall into a bad habit. She warns him to chill out and enjoy his time with the family before he goes off to college.
