In this chapter, we learn that it is now the ninth volume of Okonomiyaki, and that the protagonist is in love with a girl named ishino. He asks her to go on a date with him, but she refuses, saying that she is too busy going to school. The two of them run off to look for her, and when they arrive at the train station, they find that anzu has run away. The protagonist tries to convince his friend to go home, but her brother and mother refuse to believe him. He tells his friend that they are fighting, and they should all go home.
