The next morning, Tamura arrives at his mother's house. He tells her that he has come to apologize for his behavior in the previous day's fight. He apologizes for his rudeness to her, but she does not believe him. Tamura tells him that he is not bitter or angry, but that he still does not have the ability to greet her par ents. He asks her to show him how much she likes him, and she says that she has not been able to do so because she has been in a room with a lot of her sons.
