In this chapter, we find out what it's like to be in love with someone. We're introduced to a new character, a young man named Ayado, who's a friend of the narrator's. He's also the guy who used to be the first person to stand on a baseball field and play the game. Now, he's standing on the same field and playing the same game. He tells us that the girl who played the first game was the one who "pulled" him out of the "virtual world" and into the "real world" . He hopes that he can do the same for the girl he loves. He also tells us how much he loves her, and how much she's helped him become a better person. He says that he feels like a "hand-kerchief" on his friend's shoulders, and that he'll always ask him if he likes someone. He doesn't want to be a jerk, he says, and he wants to tell the girl that he likes her. He wants to know if the girl is starting a romance with someone else, and if so, what's the deal with it. He asks the girl if she'd like to stay up all night with him, and the girl says that she'll. She's not sure if he'd stay over all night, or if he would stay home and have sex with her.
