The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which the narrator explains that he promised Tetahashi that he wouldn't go on the trip with her brother, and that he would instead become a "samurai" . The narrator then goes on to explain that he put the story in the magazine because it must've gotten people wondering what the manga was even about. He says that he'll strangle to make the trip happen, but he's aware that he can't do that now, and so he wants to make sure that she doesn't feel bad about it. Anzu chan tells the narrator that she's sorry for being so mean to him, and he apologizes for being mean to her before. He also says that his brother never brings any girls to their house, so he won't be able to eat with them. He tells her that he doesn' t want to stick his nose in things old man, because it's his business again, and it isn't her fault that he misses the person she likes. He then says that the trip looks like it'll be going on during the holidays, which means that his parents will be there. He's excited about the trip, and says he has to "draw that sword" to make it happen.
