He is disappointed because he has worked hard on the magazine, and he is happy that there is someone in his life who shares his interests. He tells the reader that he would have dated one of the characters in the magazine if he were a good-looking man, but he is not sure what to do with himself now that he does not have a good looking man. He laments the fact that the girl he is talking to is not in her class, and that she is not interested in his texts. He says that he is sorry that he was rude to her the other day, and asks her to come back to him when she is cooler than she is. She replies that she will come back when he is cooler than her. The narrator then goes on to say that she has recently gotten into a school near where she is going to be a teacher, and she finds the school's plotline fresh and exciting. She feels sorry for the girl who has such a cute friend, but she does not know how to deal with the other girl's side of her.
