The next morning, the two of them are in a coffee shop discussing the upcoming trial. One of the trial couples has fallen apart, and they need a new pair to move the trial forward. They're not sure how long they'll be able to wait, but they're willing to give it another try. They agree that the trial will be held at the end of the school year, but that it's possible that they can extend the date to the beginning of the following school year if they want to. The two talk about school, and how much has happened since the last time they saw each other. They say that they still love each other, though, and that they don't want to be in the way of the other's love. They talk about how much they've changed, and about how they still have a long way to go before they can get married. They both realize that they'd better get over this whole thing, because they's not going to be able get married any time soon.
